Server Sues MGM National Harbor for Seizing $76K Tip
Server Tajia Mackyeon received a $76,000 tip from a baccarat player at MGM National Harbor. The incident occurred on April 13, when a high-stakes player handed Mackyeon chips worth $76,000. The lawsuit alleges that Mackyeon's manager and table games manager took possession of the chips.
Mackyeon claims that she believed she would be forced to comply if she did not hand over the chips. After the incident, Mackyeon learned the casino returned the $76,000 to the gambler. Mackyeon alleges MGM management violated federal and Maryland labor law, including conspiracy, tortious interference with her economic advantage, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Mackyeon's attorney pointed out that if the gambler had placed a $76,000 roulette bet on ‘red,’ and lost, the casino would not have given it back.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
