Sergio Aído Triumphs at UKIPT London, Wins £144,555
Sergio Aído won the UKIPT London. Two Spanish players, César García and Sergio Aído, reached the final table of the United Kingdom and Ireland Poker Tour. García started the day in last place but managed to avoid the first cut to finish 7th, earning £15,010. Aído began with a few more chips in fifth place but doubled up early with a pair of dice against Chris Dowling's A K. From there, Aído played aggressively, eliminating several opponents until only Tom Ward remained. They agreed to a deal that left £20,000 for the winner, which was Aído, after two hands where he beat K Q and T T with A J.
Aído's victory at the UKIPT London earned him £144,555 and a red chip. His aggressive strategy proved effective as he systematically eliminated his opponents. Meanwhile, the EPT London is set to begin, with several Spanish players already qualified for Day 1A. Adrián Mateos and Andoni Larrabe both advanced, with Mateos finishing with 61,000 chips and Larrabe with 53,800 chips. Other notable players who survived the first day include Leo Margets, Carlos Arjona, Jorge Ufano, and Daniel Ezquerro.
Pablo Fernández and Sergi Reixach were eliminated on the first day. The UKIPT London victory puts Aído in a strong position as he prepares for the EPT London, where he hopes to add more titles to his resume.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
