Sergey Rybachenko Secures Second Place in WCOOP-38
Russian poker player Sergey Rybachenko, known by his online handle Gipsy, finished second in the WCOOP-38 tournament.
The WCOOP-38 tournament had a buy-in of $530. Fabrizio Gonzalez won the tournament.
Sergey Rybachenko mentioned that he rarely splits pots and sold stakes in the WCOOP series. He did not search for additional information about his opponents but knew who he would face in the next rounds. He had a strong opponent in the fifth round of the second day, but a cooler was dealt in his favor, ending the match quickly. He won an all-in with KQ against AJ in the final. Sergey Rybachenko mentioned that he had already signed papers to move to a new apartment. He expressed dissatisfaction with his performance in the series despite reaching two final tables. He had bets on making it to the final table for the series but not specifically for the WCOOP-38 tournament. He highlighted four upcoming tournaments he is looking forward to: a rebuy tournament for $530, a HORSE tournament for $2100, and the main 8-game tournament with a buy-in of $10,300. He mentioned that he was not following the $25K tournament because he was focused on his own game. He knows the identity of the Russian player GVOZDIKA55 but cannot disclose it publicly.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
