Russian Poker Tour Grand Final: Big Prizes and International Stars Await in Kyiv
The Russian Poker Tour Grand Final is just around the corner, scheduled to begin on March 24, 2013, in Kyiv. Organizers have promised an exciting atmosphere and a substantial prize pool of 500,000€.
Previous winners of the Grand Final include notable players such as Georgiy Buuc from Moldova, who won $112,000, and Andrey Nikonov from Saint Petersburg, who secured 140,000€. This year's event is expected to attract around 80-100 foreign players, marking the highest number of international participants since the European Poker Tour in 2009.
Among the international stars expected to attend are Michael Mizrahi, an American poker player with multiple World Series bracelets, who plans to inspect Kyiv's nightclubs and participate in the ISPT Mizrachi Battle tournament. Sam Trickett, a British player with over $16 million in tournament winnings, is also set to visit Kyiv Pechersk Lavra and the National Opera. The tournament will feature 45 tables to accommodate all participants, with Rafael Maria di Nicola serving as the tournament director. Di Nicola, who also handles marketing and advertising for RPT in Italy, will oversee the event.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
