Russia Bans Payments to Foreign Wallets Using Mir Cards Starting April 27
Starting April 27, 2024, Russia will ban payments to foreign wallets using Mir cards. The ban affects all online stores without a bank account in Russia and poker rooms. The National Payment Card System stated that regulators are fighting against illegal casinos, bookmakers, and poker rooms. VTB and Gazprombank have confirmed receiving the bulletin and do not conduct such operations on a mass scale. The Central Bank of Russia is conducting checks, after which payment systems to foreign companies are blocked.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
