Rok Gostisa Wins $283,500 at Five Diamond World Poker Classic

Rok Gostisa emerged victorious in the $25,000 Five Diamond Poker Classic High Roller Event #9, earning $283,500 for his win. The event, held at the Bellagio Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, attracted 21 players and generated a $525,000 prize pool. This victory marks Gostisa's biggest live poker score, boosting his career earnings to $996,617 and placing him second on the Slovenia All Time Money List.

In a pivotal moment, Sung Joo Hyun was eliminated in fourth place after calling Rok Gostisa's shove. Gostisa held Q♣6♠ while Hyun had A♥K♦. The board ran out J♥7♣7♦Q♠Q♥, giving Gostisa a full house and busting Hyun from the tournament.

Jake Schindler, who entered the tournament via late registration as the 21st and final entrant, quickly built up his chip stack. However, his run ended in third place after he jammed his 130,000 chip stack and Alex Foxen called with J♥10♦ against Schindler's 9♦8♣. The board came 10♣9♠5♥6♣2♣, and Foxen's top pair knocked Schindler out, earning him $84,000. After Schindler's elimination, a heads-up battle between Gostisa and Foxen began, with Gostisa ultimately taking the chip lead and securing his victory.
