Robert Gianquitti Wins Big at WSOP Circuit Pompano Beach

Robert Gianquitti has captured the World Series of Poker Circuit main event title at Harrah’s Pompano Beach. Gianquitti earned $248,632 and 960 Card Player Player of the Year points. Gianquitti overcame a field of 1,011 total entries. This was Gianquitti’s largest live tournament score yet, well surpassing his previous top result: a seventh-place finish in the 2022 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open main event for $154,185.

Gianquitti was the short stack to start, but soon doubled up with pocket kings. Ruslan Abusev was knocked out in seventh place ($32,728). John Morris ran A-K into the pocket aces of Joseph Duchman to finish sixth ($43,765). Joseph Duchman got all-in preflop with Q♣J♥ trailing the K♥K♦ of Gianquitti, who flopped top set and held from there to narrow the field to four. Matthew Zarcadoolas began the day as the top stack but was eliminated by Gianquitti. Marc Evanier was eliminated by Gianquitti with A♣K♥ unable to overcome the J♠J♦ of Gianquitti. Nagui Yassa was the runner-up, taking home $165,725.
