Raúl Mestre Makes History at EPT Barcelona 2011 Final Table

Raúl Mestre, a professor and founder of EducaPoker, reached the final table of the EPT Barcelona 2011. This achievement marks a historic moment as it is the first time that four Spanish players have reached the final table of an EPT. The Spanish players in the final table included Raúl Mestre, Tomeu Gomila 'amatos', Dragan Kostic, and Juan Manuel Pérez.

Raúl Mestre's journey to the final table was not without challenges. His student, José Miguel Esteban 'jsn84', was eliminated from the tournament after a tough match with Martin Schleich. jsn84, who had reached the EPT through the Spartan Project promotion by EducaPoker, went all-in with AT against Schleich's AJ and unfortunately lost the hand. Despite his elimination, jsn84's performance was impressive, securing a ninth-place finish and earning €50,000.

As the final day began, Raúl Mestre started with 4,260,000 chips, placing him in a strong position among the finalists. The other players at the final table included Tomeu Gomila with 6,985,000 chips, Saar Wilf with 4,555,000 chips, Isabel Clemente with 2,270,000 chips, Martin Schleich with 2,260,000 chips, Dragan Kostic with 2,155,000 chips, Juan Manuel Pérez with 1,060,000 chips, and Eugene Katchalov with 690,000 chips. The final table was set to begin at 13:00, with the poker community eagerly awaiting the outcome.
