RaiseOnce's March 2012: High-Stakes Poker Showdowns

In March 2012, RaiseOnce was the center of attention in the high-stakes poker world, playing against various top players. RaiseOnce engaged in intense games, including PLO against regulars, NL against Sauce123, Kanu7, and takechip, FLH against Feruell, and 2-7 with triple draw against oogee.

Feruell shared his experience against RaiseOnce, revealing that he lost 170,000 in one session. He explained his strategy, noting RaiseOnce's unbalanced betting and how he adjusted his play accordingly. Feruell's strategy involved playing tightly from the button and collecting value from RaiseOnce's loose 3-betting range.

In a notable PLO $200/400 match, RaiseOnce faced off against Ilari FIN. Ilari won the hand with a full house, aces full of fours, against RaiseOnce's two pair, aces and sevens. RaiseOnce also played multiple tables simultaneously, including an impressive nine tables at once, showcasing his ability to handle high-pressure situations across multiple games.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
