PokerStars Teams Up with Steve Wynn to Push for Online Poker Regulation in the USA
PokerStars has formed an alliance with Steve Wynn to push for federal regulation of online poker in the USA. The partnership aims to provide a legal framework for online poker and protect users.
Steve Wynn is a prominent figure in Las Vegas, known for his business ventures and investments in the city. His real name is Steven Alan Weinberg, but his father changed the family's surname to Wynn in 1946 to avoid anti-Semitic attacks. Steve Wynn took over his family's lottery business at the age of 21 after his father's sudden death, which left the family with $350,000 in debt.
Steve Wynn's first major success in Las Vegas was turning around the Golden Nugget casino, which he transformed into a luxurious hotel and entertainment center. He opened two iconic hotels in Las Vegas: the Mirage and Treasure Island. Steve Wynn's company, Mirage Resorts, opened the Bellagio in 1998, which cost $1.6 billion to build. Steve Wynn sold Mirage Resorts and all its assets to MGM in 2000 for $6.6 billion. Steve Wynn built the Wynn and Encore hotels in Las Vegas, and later expanded to Macau.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
