PokerStars Introduces Capped Tables and New Omaha Hi-Lo 6-Max Tables
PokerStars has introduced several changes to its cash games, including the addition of capped tables and new 6-max tables for Omaha Hi-Lo. The capped tables, which limit the maximum bet to 20 big blinds, are now available starting from $0.25/$0.50 stakes. These tables are designed to limit the potential loss per hand to 20 big blinds, which some players may find appealing, while others see it as a disadvantage due to the capped potential winnings.
New 6-max tables for Omaha Hi-Lo are available from $0.10/$0.25 to $3/$6 stakes. These changes are part of PokerStars' ongoing efforts to improve the gaming experience based on user feedback. PokerStars manager Steve announced these changes on the 2+2 poker forum, thanking users for their patience and input.
The next SuperStar Showdown opponent for Izildur1 will be jungleman12 (Daniel Kaytes). The match is scheduled for Monday at 1:30 AM Moscow time and will feature four No-Limit Hold'em tables at the $50/$100 stake. Additionally, PokerStars has changed the buy-ins for some No-Limit Hold'em tables, with updates expected in February.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
