Poker Pros Reflect on Summer Highs and Lows at WSOP
The summer of 2017 was eventful for many poker players. Victor Bloom moved from London to Sweden a couple of years ago. Mike McDonald bought a new car after a successful summer. Timox arrived in Vegas only for the main tournament and did not make it to the main event. Chris Moneymaker had a less successful summer. Benjamin Pollak started his journey to the final table on July 10.
John Hesp finished 4th in the final table. Jack Sinclair finished 8th in the tournament. Damian Salas made a notable impression with his play. Scott Blamstein won the tournament. Max Silver earned from a successful exchange. Jeremy Osmus tried various methods to achieve success. Daniel Negreanu and his longtime girlfriend Marissa welcomed two puppies, Rocky and Apollo. Eric Seidel was impressed by the book "Killers of the Flower Moon" by David Grann.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
