Poker Pros Patrick Leonard and Matt Berki Discuss Online Cheating

Poker players Patrick Leonard and Matt Berki recently discussed the growing concern of 'under the table' assistance in online poker. Leonard, who has been in Las Vegas for over two months, enjoys the city's unique atmosphere, food, and shows. He plays high-stakes poker and appreciates the variety of games available in Las Vegas.

During their conversation, Leonard mentioned playing a high-stakes game with Jeff Lissandro, where they played a complex game called 'droma'. This game involves dealing five cards, opening the board, and splitting the bank between the best hand in PLO and the best five-card hand.

Leonard and Berki delved into the issue of 'under the table' assistance, noting that high-stakes players are less affected by it due to their familiarity with each other and the use of advanced software. Berki mentioned that the new GTO Wizard software update, which includes ICM calculations, could potentially increase cheating in lower and middle stakes games. He explained that high-stakes players are well-protected from cheating due to their familiarity with each other and the use of advanced software. Berki also discussed the potential impact of new software on MTT funds, noting that it is unlikely to be used for cheating due to the inefficiency of using it in multi-table situations. He explained that the use of 'under the table' assistance in high-stakes tournaments is not profitable due to the large number of tables involved.
