Poker Players Call for Union Amidst Quarantine Concerns and Nostalgia

Poker players have been actively discussing the need for a players' union amidst the ongoing quarantine. Erik Seidel expressed his concerns about his survival skills during this period, highlighting the challenges faced by many in the poker community.

Concerns About the Industry's Future

Patrick Leonard warned about an impending financial crisis in the poker industry. He proposed several measures to save the industry, including limiting re-entries and setting minimum stack sizes. Rob Yong suggested that major poker sites like PokerStars, GGPoker, 888poker, and ACR should adopt these measures to ensure fairness and sustainability.

The Idea of a Players' Union

Patrick Leonard also suggested creating a players' union to address issues in the poker community. Phil Galfond proposed a structure for the union, including leaders, high rollers, and paid streamers. The union would work to represent the interests of players and ensure that poker sites adhere to certain standards. Other players, including Mike McDonald and Jason Mercier, shared their thoughts on various poker-related topics, from betting on Doug Polk becoming the President of the USA to struggles with quitting cash games.
