Poker Player's Lawsuit Against London Casino Dismissed
Dr. Mortaza Sahibzada, a poker player, had his lawsuit against the Hippodrome Casino dismissed. Sahibzada was seeking £100,000 in compensation for being banned from the casino.
The Hippodrome Casino is a PokerStars-branded poker venue. Sahibzada used a 'hit-and-run' approach, quickly leaving a table with wins of about £75. The casino banned Sahibzada after other players complained about his strategy.
Judge Andrew Holmes dismissed the case, stating that the casino is entitled to decide who can use its services. He said Sahibzada had no grounds for the lawsuit, as the casino has the right to deny anyone the right to bet.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
