Poker Night in Vegas: Capped Pots, Controversial Lists, and Big Wins
The game started at 5 PM with all 7 seats pre-booked. The games played were 2-7 Triple Draw with a $1,500/$3,000 buy-in and PLO with a $35,000 cap.
The author's first capped pot in PLO occurred against an opponent who had previously bluffed him. The author played a hand of PLO against a strong professional player, ultimately making a poor call.
An additional player wanted to join the 7-max game, but was denied because he was not on the approved list. The author won $105,700 for the evening, recovering from a previous session where he lost $107,500.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
