Poker Community Rallies to Send Terminally Ill Player to WSOP 2021
Michael Graydon, a 40-year-old poker player, was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer seven months ago. Graydon requested sponsors to cover 70% of his $10,000 buy-in for the 2021 WSOP Main Event. MJ Gonzales offered to cover the entire buy-in and let Graydon keep all winnings. Jonathan DuPree joined Gonzales to split the buy-in cost.
Maria Ho offered to pay for Graydon's flight to Las Vegas for the WSOP. All-American Dave, a truck that delivers healthy food to poker players, will provide Graydon with free unlimited meals while he is in town.
Graydon expressed his gratitude, stating, "I was absolutely stunned. I shouldn't have been surprised because I've seen the poker community help people. Poker players really have a heart of gold!"

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
