Poker Community Divided Over Hustler Casino Live Cheating Allegations
The poker community remains divided over the recent cheating allegations involving Robbi Jade Lew at Hustler Casino Live. The controversy has sparked heated debates and viral reactions on social media.
Katie Martin, a Canadian PhD student, posted her thoughts on Twitter about the scandal, which quickly went viral. Martin suggested that the sharp reaction to potential cheating by Lew was due to misogyny. However, many in the poker community disagree with this assessment. Fedor Holz, a professional poker player, explained that the community's reaction is more about the play itself than Lew's gender. He stated, "For most people it has little to do with her being a woman and more with the play itself."
Liv Boeree, a former female pro poker player, also weighed in on the debate. She stated that there is a real chance Lew was cheating and that misogyny has little to do with the community's reaction. Vanessa Kade, a confirmed feminist, conceded that the matter is worth investigating. Bart Hanson produced a video detailing why he doesn’t think there’s enough evidence to make an allegation of cheating. Phil Galfond explained why smart people who do not know about poker might be struggling to understand the heated discussion. He tweeted, "Clearly smart person mistakenly perceives injustice, which is entirely reasonable given limited subject matter expertise."

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
