Poker Stars Jake Schindler and Ali Imsirovic Face Calls for 10-Year Ban

Poker commentators Norman Chad and Phil Galfond have called for a minimum 10-year ban on Ali Imsirovic and Jake Schindler following allegations of cheating. Norman Chad echoed Phil Galfond’s calls for a minimum 10-year ban on Ali Imsirovic and Jake Schindler. Phil Galfond stated that the evidence of cheating by Jake Schindler and Ali Imsirovic is overwhelming.

Ali Imsirovic and Jake Schindler were banned by GGPoker for Real-Time Assistance (RTA) use. Despite this, they were allowed to play at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) this year, which has sparked controversy among poker fans and commentators. Phil Galfond, the boss of RunItOnce, compared their actions to theft, stating that they had stolen millions of dollars from their peers and recreational players.

Jake Schindler topped the leader board early in this year's WSOP, winning a $50k SHR and finishing as runner-up in the $25k version. This has led to increased coverage of his play, but PokerNews were called out by Matt Berkey for shining too bright a light on his play without focusing enough on his cheating. Neither Schindler nor Imsirovic have responded publicly to any of the allegations made about their conduct.
