Poker After Dark Returns with High-Stakes Action on PokerGO
Poker After Dark, the popular poker show that aired on NBC from 2007 to 2011, has made a comeback on PokerGO. The show, produced by Mori Eskandani's Poker Productions, featured professional players from Full Tilt Poker and other notable figures in the poker world.
The first episodes of the revived show featured cash games with a minimum buy-in of $100,000, blinds of $200/$400, and an ante of $400. The initial session included high-profile players such as Tom Dwan, Daniel Negreanu, Antonio Esfandiari, Jean-Robert Bellande, Bill Klein, and Loren Roberts. Bill Klein, a former successful businessman, sold all his assets in 2005 after being diagnosed with throat cancer and now follows a liquid diet due to damage to his salivary glands from treatment. Klein's winnings from gambling are donated to charity.
Loren Roberts, a financial consultant, has been playing high-stakes poker as a hobby. She heads Roberts Capital LLC and Roberts Trading LLC, companies named after her. The game featured a mandatory straddle of $800, with rare restraddles of $1,600 and even $3,200. Antonio Esfandiari and Jean-Robert Bellande played a significant hand where Bellande called a raise of $37,000.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
