Phil Hellmuth Wins Third Straight High Stakes Duel Against Antonio Esfandiari
Phil Hellmuth won his third consecutive head-to-head match against Antonio Esfandiari in the High Stakes Duel poker show. The buy-in for the third match was $800,000.
Antonio Esfandiari had the highest win in poker history for a long time. Esfandiari received A-3 and made a minimum raise on the button. Hellmuth raised with A-10 of the same suit from the big blind, Esfandiari went all-in for 43 big blinds, and Hellmuth made a snap-call.
Hellmuth chose to cash out his winnings of $400,000 and leave the first season of the show as the winner.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
