Phil Hellmuth Wins Ninth High Stakes Duel Against Scott Seiver
Phil Hellmuth, the record holder for the most World Series of Poker gold bracelets, has once again proven his exceptional skill and mastery by winning a heads-up match in the popular poker show High Stakes Duel. This victory marks his ninth win in the High Stakes Duel series. In this latest duel, Hellmuth faced off against renowned heads-up specialist Scott Seiver.
Each player put up 400,000$, making the prize for the champion 800,000$. Hellmuth won the last hand with 3-2 offsuit, catching two pairs on the flop of 2-10-3. Seiver continued to call with 10-6 offsuit, but the turn with a queen and the river with a five dashed his hopes of winning.
Hellmuth acknowledged Seiver's skill and endurance, stating that playing against him was a great pleasure. Seiver now has a month to decide if he wants to take revenge. If the two poker players face off again, each will have to put up 800,000$.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
