Pedro Thuin Makes History: Wins Both Brazilian and Brasiliense Poker Championships
Pedro Thuin, a Brazilian poker player from Brasília, has made history by winning both the Campeonato Brasileiro de Poker and the Campeonato Brasiliense de Poker in 2022. He is the first player from Brasília to achieve this feat in the same year.
Thuin won the Campeonato Brasileiro de Poker in March 2022, earning R$ 456,114.00 for his victory. He also won the Campeonato Brasiliense de Poker in May 2022, taking home R$ 117,700.00. Thuin started playing poker at 16 years old and has been playing for more than 15 years.
Thuin's victory in the Campeonato Brasileiro de Poker was particularly notable, as he entered the final table with the second-largest stack and defeated a tough field to win the title. His victory in the Campeonato Brasiliense de Poker was also impressive, as he won the main event with 500k guaranteed.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
