Partypoker Updates Client, Gives Away $500,000 in Alias Race Promotion
Partypoker is set to release a significant update to its client on June 17th at 11:00 AM Moscow time. The update will include a ban on all third-party software except for partycaption and StackAndTile. All players will be required to change their displayed nicknames. The update will also include changes to the hand replay feature, new rules for spectators, and additional protection against botters.
To celebrate the update, Partypoker is hosting the Alias Race promotion, giving away $500,000. The promotion will start on June 17th and run for 24 hours. Players will have the chance to win various prizes, including cash and tournament tickets, by changing their nicknames and collecting click cards.
Partypoker has been actively battling botters for the past six months. In May, the company closed 42 accounts and paid out over $50,000 in compensation to players. This is the first month where the number of violations and stolen funds has significantly decreased. The company has been working hard to ensure a fair gaming environment for all players.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
