Omar Eljach Wins WSOP Europe Main Event for €1.38 Million
Omar Eljach made history by winning the WSOP Europe Main Event, securing a massive €1,380,129 payday. The event, held at Leon Tsoukernik’s King’s Casino in Rozvadov, attracted a record-breaking 763 entries, making it the largest WSOP Europe Main Event to date. Notable players included Shaun Deeb and Timothy Adams, who both made deep runs in the tournament. Deeb, who was aiming for his sixth WSOP gold bracelet, finished in third place, earning €607,531.
Timothy Adams, with nearly $30 million in career earnings, was eliminated on day 4 after bubbling the official final table. Barney Boatman, a popular figure in England, was eliminated in 7th place after losing to Deeb in a crucial hand. Boatman's aces were cracked by Deeb's queen-jack, leading to his early exit from the tournament.
Omar Eljach's victory was hard-fought, as he defeated Jonathan Pastore in a heads-up battle that lasted nearly 6 hours. The final hand saw Eljach's queen-queen hold up against Pastore's ace-eight, securing his victory. Eljach, who began playing poker at the age of 16 with his cousin in Colombia, expressed his joy and relief after the win, stating that it was an amazing feeling.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
