Olivier Busquet: The Rise and Fall of a Poker Prodigy
Olivier Busquet is considered one of the best heads-up players online, with a specialization in HU SNG. His poker journey began in 2006, initially as a hobby that later became a profitable career. Busquet's online poker handles are livb112 on Full Tilt and Adonis112 on PokerStars.
Busquet's live tournament achievements include winning the WPT Borgata Poker Open in 2009 and finishing second in the high roller tournament at the EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo in 2010, losing to Tobias Reinkemeier in the heads-up final. Busquet was born on August 22, 1981, in Manhattan to French immigrant parents and graduated from Cornell University with a degree in philosophy.
Busquet's parents were concerned about his gambling problems and tried to intervene. He was fired from his job at a trading company due to his poker addiction. Busquet switched to MTTs and quickly achieved success, but had to deal with distractions like his dog. He set a goal to turn his negative results into positive ones after being criticized in a chat.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
