Ole Schemion Wins Second WSOP Bracelet in PLO Championship
Ole Schemion has added another significant victory to his poker career by winning the 2026 WSOP Europe €5,300 PLO European Championship. This triumph earned him $454,250 and 1,200 Card Player Player of the Year points, pushing his career earnings past $24.4 million.
Schemion's victory was not his first at the WSOP. He first broke through at the series in 2021, taking down the $1,979 Poker Hall of Fame bounty event for $172,499. This latest win makes him a two-time WSOP champion, adding to his collection of 26 recorded titles, which includes a pair of WPT trophies.
The tournament featured a prize pool of $2,092,080 with the top 57 finishers earning a share. Notable players who made the money in this PLO championship include Manig Loeser, Yueqi Zhu, Davidi Kitai, Patrick Leonard, Matthew Wantman, Erick Lindgren, Julien Sitbon, Jessica Teusl, Ari Engel, Scott Bohlman, Punnat Punsri, David Coleman, and Quan Zhou. Rasmus Larsen held the chip lead when the final table of nine was set, but Schemion's strategic play saw him eliminate key opponents. He eliminated Arunas Sapitavicius in 8th place, Michael Moncek in 3rd place, and ultimately won against Santtu Leinonen in heads-up play.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
