Ocean Casino Resort Resumes Gaming After Fire Incident
Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey, experienced a fire in a linen capture room on Monday morning, leading to a temporary halt in gaming operations. The fire, which produced heavy smoke, was successfully extinguished by firefighters. However, the water used to put out the fire caused significant damage, resulting in a partial collapse of the lobby ceiling.
The incident also affected employee hallways and elevator shafts, but remarkably, no guests or employees were harmed. The resort's hotel continued to operate at limited capacity, while restaurants, pools, and other amenities remained unaffected.
Despite the setback, Ocean Casino Resort resumed all gaming activities on Tuesday. A statement from the resort confirmed that table games, slots, and sports betting are once again available. The resort expressed gratitude to its team members, partners, and the NJ Division of Gaming Enforcement for their swift response in restoring operations.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
