Nevada's Gaming Revenue Rises Despite Strip Baccarat Losses
Nevada's gaming revenue for June 2026 increased by 0.8% to $1.34 billion, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board. This slight increase came despite significant baccarat losses on the Las Vegas Strip, which saw a 19.7% drop in revenue to $102.7 million. The overall gaming revenue on the Strip fell by 4.3% to $330.3 million, with slot revenue up by 1% to $424.4 million.
Visitor volume to Las Vegas fell by 0.5% to just over 3 million, according to the Las Vegas Visitors Convention Authority. However, convention attendance spiked by 25.8% to 471,100, helping to offset the decline in visitors. Other parts of Clark County and the state as a whole helped make up for the Strip’s falling numbers. Downtown Las Vegas revenue grew by 2.6% to $75.5 million, and North Las Vegas was up by 3.4% to $24.7 million.
Reno's gaming revenue rose by 20.3% to $81.6 million, and Sparks saw a 16.2% increase to $15.9 million. South Lake Tahoe also had positive growth, up by 7.5% to $21.3 million. The state collected $81.6 million in taxes based on June revenue, a 7% decrease from the previous year. Gaming revenue for the fiscal year (July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026) jumped by 2.6%, indicating a continued recovery from the tough 2025 when Las Vegas experienced a tourism downturn.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
