Nevada Gaming Commission Investigates Resorts World Las Vegas Over Gambler's Claims
The Nevada Gaming Control Board has launched an investigation into Resorts World Las Vegas in response to complaints leveled against the company's president, Scott Sibella, by a gambler.
The gambler, Brandon Sattler, accused Scott Sibella of lying about their relationship during a recent regulatory meeting. Additionally, Sattler further alleges that David Stroj partially owns one of the property's eateries; Stroj is a convicted criminal who has served time in prison.
Kristi Marusich, the board's deputy head of enforcement, announced that the agency would investigate these assertions. Resorts World Las Vegas launched in June, making it the first hotel-casino to debut on the Strip in more than a decade. David Stroj, a convicted unlicensed bookmaker and money launderer, owns Tacos El Carbon, a modest eatery within Resorts World Las Vegas.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
