NBA's Most Overpaid Players Revealed in New Study

NBA fans are eagerly awaiting the start of the new season, but a recent study by Casino Guru USA has shed light on some of the league's most overpaid players. The study analyzed 2026/27 salary cap hits and 2025/26 Win Shares (WS) to determine which players are not living up to their contracts.

Topping the list of the most overpaid players is Pascal Siakam of the Indiana Pacers, who scored 77/100 with a cap hit of $48.9M and a WS of 2.6. Following closely behind is Patrick Williams of the Chicago Bulls with a score of 74/100 and a WS of -0.1. Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors rounds out the top three with a score of 73/100 and a WS of 1.7.

Tied for fourth place are Miles Turner of the Milwaukee Bucks and Malik Monk of the Sacramento Kings, both with a score of 70/100. Turner had a WS of 3.0, while Monk had a WS of 1.0. Monk's cap hit of $20.2M positions him as the player with the most expensive cost per WS.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
