Moneymaker Tour Shatters Prize Pool Record at Daytona Beach

The Moneymaker Tour's second stop at Daytona Beach Racing and Card Club was a resounding success, smashing its Main Event guarantee. The prize pool reached an impressive $511,650, far exceeding the $300,000 guarantee.

The Daytona Main Event was won by Dion Jagroo, who defeated Ricardo Eyzaguirre heads-up. Jagroo took home $102,222, while Eyzaguirre received $81,383 after a deal was agreed upon.

The Moneymaker Tour, founded by 2003 WSOP Main Event Champion Chris Moneymaker and Executive Tour Manager Tony Burns, continues to gain momentum. The tour is set to return to Palm Beach Kennel Club in late October for 12 days, with 27 trophy events and over half a million dollars in guarantees. Additionally, the tour will be at Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati from September 21 to October 2, offering over $2 million in guarantees.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
