Mobile Poker Apps Survive Lockdown: Traffic Trends and Top Clubs
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on mobile poker applications, with traffic trends fluctuating due to lockdowns and seasonal factors. In May, the number of active players in poker rooms almost halved due to the easing of epidemiological restrictions and the summer season.
Top Performing Networks
iPoker and GGПокерОК networks experienced a significant increase in traffic. iPoker benefited from the closure of MPN poker rooms, while GGПокерОК saw a surge due to the WSOP-C online stage. However, both networks experienced a decrease in activity in June, with GGПокерОК expecting a new surge in July.
Peak Gaming Activity
In May, the number of games in PPPoker, PokerBros, and Upoker simultaneously exceeded 1,500 tables. Despite the summer slowdown, low and medium stakes games in hold'em, classic, and five-card omaha are still readily available at any time.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
