Matusow's Bluff Fails: Four-Time Bracelet Winner Exits 2022 WSOP Main Event
Mike Matusow, a four-time bracelet winner, has exited the 2022 WSOP Main Event after a bluff gone wrong. He finished in 677th place, earning $21,000. Matusow defended his bluff, stating he had played ultra-tight for the previous two hours.
Matusow explained that he thought his opponent didn't have a full house or a nut flush draw when he raised. He mentioned that he opened 15 times in four-and-a-half hours, and he never dragged a chip, but he never got impatient.
Matusow said that he was 100% fine with his bluff the day after his bust out.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
