Michael Postle Poker Scandal: Court Rules Lost Gambling Money Can't Be Recovered
In 2019, the poker community was rocked by a scandal involving Michael Postle. The controversy began when 80 poker players filed a collective lawsuit against Postle for $30,000,000, accusing him of cheating in poker games at Stones Gambling Hall in California. The lawsuit claimed that Postle profited from cheating in poker games broadcast live.
After nearly a year of legal battles, Judge William Shubb ruled that lost gambling money cannot be recovered. The judge stated that there was no objective evidence to support the claims of cheating. Veronica Brill, one of the plaintiffs, expressed dissatisfaction with the court's decision, stating that the ruling essentially allows cheating in live broadcasts.
Despite the controversy, Michael Postle is scheduled to appear on Joe Ingram's podcast to explain his side of the story. It remains to be seen whether Postle will provide convincing evidence of his innocence.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
