Poker Player Matt Glantz Offers to Infect Himself with Coronavirus for $250,000
Matt Glantz, a well-known poker player, has offered to infect himself with coronavirus for $250,000. He stated this in a tweet, where he also mentioned that he would go into quarantine immediately to avoid spreading the virus. Glantz believes the threat of coronavirus is overstated and the panic around it causes more harm than the disease itself.
In his tweet, Glantz also compared the coronavirus to the Ebola virus, stating that he would never agree to infect himself with Ebola for any amount of money. He also mentioned that he does not want others to follow his example. David Tuchman, another poker player, responded to Glantz's tweet, stating he would do the same for $200,000.
This is not the first time Glantz has made controversial statements about the coronavirus. Previously, he proposed a freeroll for his Twitter followers to guess the names of three poker players he would like to see infected with coronavirus. The prize for the winner is $1,000.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
