Man Robs Las Vegas Casino with Note and Heavy Bag
In a recent incident, a man robbed the Cosmopolitan casino in Las Vegas of $10,000 worth of chips. The man entered the casino around 6:30 AM, placed a heavy sports bag on the counter, and gave the cashier a note threatening harm if he didn't receive 10,000 purple chips.
The cashier handed over the chips and pressed the panic button, but the robber had already fled by the time police arrived. Police tracked down the robber, identified as 51-year-old Ronald Ellison, to the Waldorf-Astoria hotel. Ellison was charged with armed robbery and the stolen chips were found during a search of his belongings.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
