Maksim 'Decay' Lykov to Appear on Radio Show with Ilya Gorodetsky
Russian poker player Maksim Lykov, known by his online handle 'Decay,' will be a guest on a radio show hosted by Ilya Gorodetsky. The show will air on Thursday at 23:00.
Lykov, born in 1987 in Balashikha, began his athletic career at the age of seven, playing football professionally and representing teams like CSKA and the city's team. His transition to gaming started at the age of 12 or 13 when he began playing video games such as Quake and Counter-Strike.
Lykov's poker career began when a friend from Saint Petersburg suggested he try the game. Although he initially did not enjoy it, he gave it another shot six months later and found success. Lykov is notable for being the first Russian to win the European Poker Tour (EPT) and for his achievements in Full Tilt's FTOPS and mini-FTOPS tournaments. He was also a finalist in this year's World Series of Poker Shootout event with a $5,000 buy-in.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
