Macau Casinos See Revenue Growth Slow After Three Months
Casinos in Macau have experienced significant revenue growth over the last six months. However, the trend of rapid growth has come to a halt.
For three consecutive months, casinos in Macau earned more than $1 billion each month, starting from March. However, according to the Gaming Inspection&Coordination Bureau, in June, the total revenue for local casinos was $817 million.
The decrease in revenue is attributed to new quarantine restrictions imposed by local authorities. Tourists from nearby regions must undergo mandatory quarantine due to a Covid-19 outbreak in Guangdong province. Despite the setback, June casino revenues in Macau were up 812% compared to the same period last year.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
