Lucas Jumalon Leads 2026 WSOP Main Event After Incredible Day 8
Lucas Jumalon, a 22-year-old poker player from Spokane, Washington, is leading the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event after a remarkable day 8. His pivotal hand involved a four-bet all-in preflop with A♥10♠ against Will Givens’ A♦Q♥, ultimately winning a 56 million chip pot.
Jumalon's friend Hayden Hetland, known as 'Big Red', was a prominent part of the rail supporting Jumalon's run to the final table. Jumalon's deluge of support is one of the defining elements of his experience thus far.
If Jumalon wins, he will be the second-youngest WSOP main event champion of all time, joining Peter Eastgate (2008) and Pius Heinz (2011) as 22-year-old winners.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
