Loni Harwood Makes History at 2013 WSOP with Record-Breaking Wins
Loni Harwood made a significant impact at the 2013 World Series of Poker (WSOP), achieving three final table appearances and setting multiple records. Her most notable achievement was winning Tournament #60 with a buy-in of $1,500, which earned her $609,000 and set several records.
In addition to her victory in Tournament #60, Harwood also finished 4th in Tournament #53, earning $210,456. Her first final table appearance was in Tournament #31, where she finished 6th, earning $39,803. This tournament was her first experience with pot-limit Omaha hi-lo.
Harwood's supporters were known for their unique behavior, lying on the floor and shouting 'Deuce!' during key moments. Her father, a successful poker player on PokerStars, won a WCOOP tournament. Harwood started playing poker at the age of 16, initially playing satellites for $11 with rebuys. She graduated from the University of Albany-New York with a degree in finance and won her first WSOP Circuit ring in February 2012.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
