Leon Tsoukernik Wins First Round in $23M Lawsuit Against Facebook
King's Casino owner Leon Tsoukernik has won the first round of his $23 million lawsuit against Facebook. The Czech court ruled it has jurisdiction over the case, which was initially attempted to be moved to Ireland by Facebook.
The lawsuit, filed in April, claims 500,000,000 Czech crowns (about $23.3 million) in damages due to misleading and potentially illegal ads. The ads featured images of Tsoukernik’s “poker island” in Rozvadov and captions claiming "The best Czech casino is now online!"
Tsoukernik claims that his initial complaints to Facebook about the advertisements were ignored. Tsoukernik’s legal team argues that Facebook ought to have censured the ads as they failed to include a reference to gambling addiction prevention.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
