Latin American Poker Tour Returns to the Felt in 2023
The Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) is returning in 2023 after a six-year hiatus. The first event of the rebooted LAPT will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from March 2-6, 2023. The location was chosen for its sentimental value, as the very first LAPT was held in Rio de Janeiro back in 2008.
The LAPT was one of PokerStars' most successful tours, running from 2008 to 2016 with stops in dozens of cities throughout 10 different countries. The tour will enable some of the newer poker players on the scene to get a taste of Latin America as well.
The LAPT reboot will include stops in Montevideo, Uruguay in April, and São Paulo, Brazil in July and November. Additional stops will be announced soon. The tour will enable former LAPT champions and a new generation of poker players to experience this amazing event.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
