Las Vegas Casinos See Significant Decline in Dealers and Table Games Since 2010
Las Vegas, once renowned for its bustling casino floors filled with live dealers and table games, has seen a significant decline in both since 2010. According to a study by Casino Guru, the number of dealers per casino has decreased from 124 in 2010 to 88 in 2025, a 29% decrease, despite there being 29 more casinos now than in 2010.
The total number of dealers in Vegas has also dropped from 18,330 in 2010 to 15,530 in 2025, marking a 15.2% decrease. This trend is mirrored in the reduction of casino table games, which have dropped from 1,992 in 2010 to 1,600 in 2025, a 20% decrease. The average number of table games per casino has also declined from 91 to 70, a 23% decrease.
Table games per million tourists have also reduced from 2.43 in 2010 to 1.80 in 2025, a 26% decrease. Luxury resorts like Wynn Resorts and the Bellagio have managed to maintain their table games, with Wynn Resorts reducing its table games by just 0.4% since 2010 (232 to 231), and the Bellagio seeing only a small decline of 0.6% (155 to 154). In contrast, value-focused properties such as Flamingo, Luxor, and Excalibur have seen significant reductions. Flamingo has reduced its table games by 62% since 2010 (130 to 50), Luxor by 46% (68 to 37), and Excalibur by 47% (57 to 30). The Golden Gate Casino replaced all human dealers with electronic gaming systems in October 2025.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
