Larry Flint began his business by opening strip clubs in Los Angeles in the early 70s. He started publishing Hustler magazine in 1974, known for its explicit content.

Larry Flint was seriously injured in 1978 by Joseph Franklin, a racist serial killer, and became partially paralyzed. His biography was the subject of the 1996 film 'The People vs. Larry Flint,' starring Woody Harrelson. Larry Flint opened the Hustler Casino in Los Angeles in the early 2000s.

Larry Flint hosted high-stakes Seven-Card Stud games at his home and later at his casino, with notable poker players like Phil Ivey, John Hennigan, Doyle Brunson, and Barry Greenstein.
