Klemens Roiter Secures First Triton Title in Jeju
Klemens Roiter has made a significant mark in the world of tournament poker, especially over the last two years. His latest achievement is winning the $20,000 no-limit hold'em event in Jeju, South Korea, claiming the $771,000 first-place prize and his first Triton title. Roiter outlasted a field of 174 players to claim the victory, which is worth 936 Card Player Player of the Year points, positioning him in eighth place overall in the yearlong race.
Roiter's journey to this victory was not without its challenges. He came back from a significant chip disadvantage to defeat Alejandro Lococo heads-up for the title. This win is particularly notable as Roiter's total career earnings have now eclipsed $15.7 million, with over $9.1 million of that sum coming in Triton events.
Reflecting on his achievement, Roiter expressed his joy and pride. “I’m still shaking, my entire body,” Roiter told Triton’s Stanley Ma shortly after his victory. “I’m so happy. I couldn’t be more proud.” He also mentioned that this win could potentially allow him to retire, but he doesn’t think he’s quite finished yet.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
