Ketel Marte Spotted at Casino During Diamondbacks' Home Game

Ketel Marte, an MLB All-Star and second baseman for the Arizona Diamondbacks, visited a Phoenix-area casino while his team played a home game against the Cincinnati Reds.

Marte was placed on the restricted list after failing to show up for a game against the Boston Red Sox without notifying the team. The Diamondbacks manager, Torey Lovullo, stated that injured players do not have to attend games. He also mentioned that Marte came in for injury treatment on the day of the casino visit.

Fans criticized Marte's absence, with many expressing their disappointment on social media. Some fans felt that Marte should have been at the stadium supporting his team, especially during a tight playoff race. Despite the criticism, Lovullo seemed unconcerned with Marte’s actions, stating that as long as Marte completes his work the next day, that is all that matters.
