Kenny Hallert Reflects on WSOP Success and Future Plans

Kenny Hallert made a significant mark in the poker world by finishing 4th in the WSOP Main Event in July 2025, earning a substantial $3 million. This achievement comes after his 6th place finish in the 2016 WSOP Main Event, where he won $1.5 million. Hallert's journey to the final table was notable, as Lea Margolis became the first woman to reach the final table of the WSOP Main Event since 1995, and Michael Mizrahi won both the Main Event and the Players Championship.

Despite the intense competition, Hallert remained humble and focused on his role as a tournament director and PokerStars ambassador. After the WSOP, Hallert took a break from poker, spending time with his girlfriend and reflecting on his performance. He plans to compete in the PokerStars offline leaderboard and various other tournaments, including the NAPT in Las Vegas and possibly the Triton in Korea. Hallert's future plans also include participating in the WSOP Main Event next year, aiming to become the first player of the modern era to achieve a historic milestone.

Hallert's admiration for players like Michael Mizrahi and Davide Kitai is evident in his reflections. He acknowledges the unique challenges and opportunities presented by the WSOP Main Event, emphasizing the importance of adapting to different playing styles and situations. His approach to poker is characterized by a blend of strategic analysis and a deep appreciation for the game's unpredictability.
