Joshua Hessel: The Hyper-Turbo Satellite King
Joshua Hessel, known as slayerv1fan/jdawg91, is a well-known regular in hyper-turbo satellites. He began his poker career with cheap MTTs and turbo SNGs. In 2012, shares of Hessel's action could be purchased on the forum in AlexOma's fund. Hessel registered on 2+2 in 2009 and has since written over 18,000 posts.
Hessel transitioned to hyper-turbo satellites in 2015. He lives in Mexico and has purchased land for a future home. In 2016, Hessel was among the players who earned 10,000,000 VPP in their career. His 2016 was his most successful year, with significant earnings from selling stakes in MTTs.
In early May 2017, Hessel won the Super Tuesday. In mid-May 2017, he became the first player to achieve Supernova Elite status. Hessel noted a significant decrease in action in expensive satellites during the SCOOP series.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
