Joke703: From Poker to Magic Tricks and the Army
Joke703's journey into the world of poker began at the age of 16 when his father introduced him to the game. His father, who enjoyed learning new things, suggested that Joke703 try his hand at poker instead of spending all his time playing video games. Joke703's first significant mentor in poker was a friend who played at NL16. This friend's strategic approach to the game inspired Joke703 to improve his own skills.
After high school, Joke703 found himself in a rut. He joined a university but felt unfulfilled and unmotivated. Seeking a change, he turned to his godfather for advice. His godfather suggested that he use his poker earnings to join the army, a decision that would ultimately prove transformative. Joke703 joined the Semenovsky Regiment in Moscow, where he gained a sense of purpose and discipline. He became one of the few soldiers who made the most of their time in the army, learning valuable life skills and even continuing to play poker.
In addition to his poker journey, Joke703 also developed a unique skill to help him approach and talk to girls: magic tricks. Feeling insecure about his ability to initiate conversations, he turned to magic as a way to break the ice. This unconventional method proved effective, allowing him to connect with others in a more engaging and memorable way.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
